Our Guiding Principles :

A Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is a group of parents, teachers and staff that is intended to facilitate community engagement between parents, students, and faculty/staff at a school. Our PTA strives to fulfill the following roles (these were written and adopted during the 2022 - 2023 school year): 

• Engagement: Create opportunities for families, teachers, and community members to participate in and lead PTA-sponsored discussions, events, and activities.

• Inclusivity: Acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of the NSES community. Actively pursue opportunities that create connections, friendships, understanding, and a sense of belonging between different groups and backgrounds for all families. 

• Partnership: Foster strong partnerships between the PTA, school administration, teachers, families, and community members to support the education and well-being of all students.

• Social Responsibility: Promote civic engagement and social responsibility by providing opportunities for students and families to learn and practice positive impact within the school and beyond.

• Communication and Transparency: Promote open and effective communication by providing regular opportunities for feedback and providing clear and accurate information about NSES announcements, ACSD activities and opportunities, and PTA finances.
