Here are some easy ways to donate to the PTA. Thank you for supporting NSES PTA!
Fill CLYNK bags with empty returnable bottles and cans. Bring bags to local Hannaford and at the CLYNK kiosk, scan the bag’s identification tag with the hand scanner and place the bag inside the unlocked door.
We have CLYNK bags available at the school. Email us (newscotlandpta@gmail.com) to arrange pick-up or stop in the school's main office during business hours.
If you already use CLYNK, you can redirect your funds to the New Scotland Elementary School PTA using our account number of 900955899 (instructions here if you already have an account or here if you're setting up a new account).
There are over 80 brands and 350 products that participate in Box Tops program. The PTA receives $0.10 for every digital "box top" you submit. It no longer works to save the physical box tops - you have to do this digitally.
Donating is simple, fast and easy: Just use the Box Top App on your phone to take a photo of your receipt, and eligible items are automatically identified. Download the Box Tops App on your smartphone and follow the instructions to search for New Scotland Elementary School.
You can also connect a Walmart account directly to Box Tops so that your purchases don't require scanning a receipt.
See www.boxtops4education.com for more info.
This program runs in the spring only. Look communication from the PTA about how you can contribute when this is running if you are a Hannaford Shopper.
Create an account and when you check out you'll receive "School Dollars" for every qualifying purchase of over 1,500 products. Use the app or go online to enter your school dollars code.

Through GiveBacks, when you make a purchase at one of 25,000+ national retailers, a percentage of your purchase will automatically be donated to our organization at no cost to you (typical percentages are 1% - 5%). Two ways to set this up:
When you purchase anything online from the NSES PTA (ex: membership, SpiritWear, donations to general fund), there is an option to automatically enroll your credit card to the program.
You can connect you credit card, phone, and/or computer to the NSES PTA with the instructions here. Make sure to search for us by searching for the "New Scotland Elementary School PTA"
Join and/or donate to the PTA
You can donate any dollar amount to the PTA and your donation is tax-deductible (our Federal ID number is 23-7211270). Donations can be made online (there is a $0.50 + 3.29% fee) or in person at any of our meetings with cash or check.
Sign up your Price Chopper Advantage Card to earn points for our school every time you shop. NSES PTA will redeem the points to purchase items for our school! Even if you participated in the past, this is a new platform and ALL must register their Advantage Card. More details here.

This program doesn't run or enroll in the summer, but it operates year round otherwise.
What does the PTA do with the money it fundraises?
We're proud of how we spend our funds, and we put thoughtful effort into ensuring that all of our expenses are aligned with our guiding principles. Specific updates about PTA finances are given at our monthly meetings and are also posted on the meetings tab of this site.
In the 2023-2024 school year we paid for:
Buses and admission fees for end-of-year classroom field trips (up to $15 per student)
Pizza parties and celebrations that school faculty and staff requested to celebrate various school groups during the school day
An end-of-year catered luncheon for teachers and staff
Just Run track meet bus and pizza party
Raised beds and blueberry bushes for the Garden Club
Rental of Swimburne Ice Rink for Ice Skating Party
Bus to send music students to NYSSMA
The band "Flame" gave assemblies during the school day in November. According to the Flame website: "Flame’s mission is to change the world through music. They inspire people with disabilities and give hope to them and their families – hope that they can do great things and live a fun and fulfilling life."
Did you notice that your beginning-of-year supply list did NOT include $7 for Scholastic News this year? That's because the PTA purchased those in order to take the financial burden off the families at the school.
...and so much more!
