Announcements:

• 3/18: Right now (Spring 2024), the PTA's biggest need is to add board members for the 2024-2025 school year. Join us virtually April 24th at 6pm to learn more! • 3/1 SKATE NIGHT at SWIMBURNE UPDATE: This event is ON for tonight at 5pm! The rink is outdoors but covered, so the rain is fine. See you there!

• 3/1 SKATE NIGHT at SWIMBURNE UPDATE: Right now this event is STILL PLANNED for Saturday, 3/2, 5pm-7pm. The Department of Rec thinks it's likely that the rink will be able to stay open. If the weather does cause the rink to close, then we will update this website, our facebook page, and send out a School Messenger email to the school.

• 2/9: SKATE NIGHT at SWIMBURNE is POSTPONED to Saturday, 3/2, 5-7pm. Enjoy the warm weather this weekend doing something that doesn't involve skating on frozen things! The rink is closed due to warm temperatures.

• 10/19: SpiritWear Orders are now open - visit newscotlandpta.memberhub.com to place your order! Get your order in by Friday, November 17. New this fall: all orders must be submitted online at newscotlandpta.memberhub.com 

  • Pay by cash/check option: Add items to your cart and select the option to "Record Cash/Check" payment at checkout. Send cash/check to school with your child in a clearly labeled envelope.

  • Pay by credit card option: Add items to your cart and follow instructions to check out with a credit card.

• 10/17: Harvest Festival is right around the corner on Friday, 11/17 at 6pm! More details about the event are coming, but right now we need your help to make our raffle and silent auction a success. Can you make a donation, or do you have a suggestion for a business or organization we should contact? Use this link to tell us what you can donate: tinyurl.com/harvestfestNSES. • 10/4: The PTA’s next meeting is Wednesday, October 11 at 6pm in the multipurpose room. You may also attend via Google meet - Copy and paste this meeting code into www.google.com/meet: ukj-ahap-prb. We will hear updates from Principal Buff and VP Rose. We will have guest speaker, Sara McGraw, Elementary STEM Instructional Supervisor and the Harvest Fest committee will have a working session. All are welcome. To learn more and signup to volunteer, fill out our Volunteer Interest Form. Complimentary Childcare provided by the YMCA for NSES students PreK-5th.

• 9/25: Flyers have gone home in the last week. Flyer 1 (volunteers and remind app) and Flyer 2 (walk & roll).

• 9/25: We are looking for volunteers for our events this year, and we need you! Use the volunteer interest form to express your interest. You can volunteer for the following topics:

  • • Event: Walk, Bike, & Roll to School (Wednesday, October 4) - this event is next week!

    • Event: Harvest Fest (Friday, November 17th)

    • Committee: 5th Grade Year-End events and Celebrations (biggest need is 4th and 5th grade caregivers)

    • Committee: Budget Surplus (help the PTA decide how best to allocate our funds to serve the needs of our kids).

    • Potpouri: share your ideas for events, committees, donations, or other engagement ideas for our students.
